American E-Liquid vs Canadian E-Liquid

What makes either of these e-liquids different? As most of us know Canada and the USA have very similar palettes however they can differ in certain aspects. This applies to e-liquids as well. American E-liquid tends to be sweeter and heavier branding. While Canadian E-liquid is usually less sweet and more conservative branding. What leads to these two countries differences in e-liquids? And how do they both perform on the world stage?

American E-liquid has been a massive influence on world markets since the first bottles sold back in 2000’s. Many other countries strived to create e-liquids as tasty as American E-liquid. Luckily this strong competition from American E-liquid producers drove innovation and quality elsewhere.

Canadian E-liquid has always had its place on the world stage. With many seeing it as second only to American E-liquid. With strong pressure from the USA, Canadian E-liquid manufacturers had to push harder to compete from the ever flowing e-liquids from the USA. American E-liquid was always known as super sweet and coil killing E-liquid. Canadian E-liquid on the other hand is usually high in flavor and easier on coils. Many buyers worldwide have since turned to Canadian E-liquids to put on their shelves. Given the American market has crumbled it is up to Canadian E-liquid manufacturers to innovate and push the industry forward. There is a large void to be filled as of 2020 and with the global pandemic it has driven a wedge in the industry due to shipping disruptions. There is still growing demand for Canadian eliquids as their appeal is now seen as the new American E-liquid. Innovation in the E-liquid industry continues at fast pace with new markets developing every year.

Canadian E-liquid will be around for many decades to come. It is sad to see American e-liquids regulated out of existence however there is hope that the government will one day repeal their terrible laws. Until that time Canadian E-liquid manufacturers will need to take up the slack and continue to innovate. We can only hope that world E-liquid markets continue to stay progressive with their policy so consumers have access to Canadian E-liquid.
